Index to Inspector of Nuisances Manuscripts

This is the preliminary index of a cache of handwritten documents by one or more anonymous individuals studying to become Inspectors of Nuisances in England circa 1897. Written on various sizes and types of paper in varying states of preservation, the cache includes one-hundred twenty-four pages in two major manuscripts and twelve other multi-page documents, referenced as Mss. A thru N inclusive; it also includes thirteen single-page holographic documents, referenced as Sheets one thru thirteen inclusive. A half-dozen pieces of contemporary and more modern printed ephemera included with these handwritten documents are not included in this index.

It is not my intent to transcribe every one of these pages. A preliminary examination suggests that a certain degree of the content is repetitious. Emphasis for transcription will be placed on documents of particular interest, historical or otherwise.

I invite input from anyone who cares to offer input on this matter.

This is revision 0 of this index, published 02 July 2005.
