An interesting article in the Times about the “glamour” of drug use prompted the realization that drug policy - both here and abroad - has to date followed the classical cycle of instability and revolution familiar to students of history the world over.

Iraq Map Leaked

Wikileaks, newly freed from their spurious lawsuit, have posted a whole bunch of new stuff in the last day or two - including a military map of Iraq (10MB PDF). Marked “Secret”, the 2005 map shows the location of all the military bases in the country, as well as all the MSRs and ASRs - including “ASR Minneapolis”. (Alas, there’s no “ASR St Paul”. Pity.)
