Joint Doctrine for Homeland Defense

The Department of Defense last month came out with Joint Publication 3-27, Homeland Defense, which lays out military policy for homeland security. Not, perhaps, the most exciting or groundbreaking Joint Publication ever burped up by the Joint Chiefs, but some parts are certainly interesting; in particular, Appendices D and E, respectively, list key Homeland Security and legal policy documents for the military, and the references used to produce the publication.

What Real Radio Sounds Like

The BBC produces a staggering wealth of programming across its half-dozen radio channels. But, more so than sheer quantity (which is certainly impressive in and of itself), it’s the quality of the programming that really stands out.
Happily for people who don’t live in Britain, all you need to listen is a computer and internet access.

User Unfriendly

The earnest kids at the “RNC Welcoming Committee” have produced a dubious zine on the radical history of Minnesota. As far as extremist propaganda goes, it isn’t too bad, demonstrating rather higher production values than most things the radical community does (or, for that matter, most zines.)
