Critical Infrastructure Protection

Few federal agencies are as enamored of the TLA as DHS, which can make finding the information you want about, by, or from them something of a crapshoot. Sometimes, not knowing the abbreviation you’re looking for is half the problem!

One of the other fun aspects of DHS is that, for all the straightforward compartmentalization that seems to exist on paper, nearly every component, agency, or department has experienced mission creep. ICE and CBP are no longer nearly as segregated as they used to be, or at least once were on paper. Despite the name, IAIP aren’t the be-all, end-all resource for infrastructure protection, an oversized pie everyone and their grandmother has their finger in.
