No Pleasing Some People
San Francisco community activists were - understandably - upset at the prospect of the fairly attractive 1912 State Armory and Arsenal building, vacant for over a quarter-century, meeting the fate of so many old, colorful buildings - being renovated into condominiums. Happily, or so it seemed, a $20 million-per-year dot-com business wants to buy the building and move it’s headquarters there. Alas, the community activists still aren’t happy…
