The Ultimate Rice Pilaf

Living in Minnesota for a while, I’ve come to live the infamous “hotdish” and similar dishes. Truth be told, I grew up on this kind of food as a kid, years ago. Stuffed peppers, chicken and rice casserole, or, yes, hamburger-rice hotdish, it’s all “comfort food” to me.

Whither Wikileaks?

It’s been six weeks since Wikileaks posted their one and only “leak” thus far, a lackluster document of dubious provenance on Somalia. In that time, their only updates have been self-congratulatory ego-stroking, with nary a sign of even one more of the “1.2 million documents” they claim to have. Truly a case of much ado about nothing, I’m pretty confident their bubble has burst, and look forward with some relish to their timely disappearance from the interweb… at least in this guise.

Explorers with (bad) attitudes

There are many criticisms of urban explorers and what they do. Some are pretty unfounded; others have more validity. One with some substance to it which doesn’t often merit mention is the sense of entitlement complacent explorers sometimes get after a while.
