Artillery, 1922 – 2006

If you’re interested in military matters, and like old kitsch, you might enjoy the huge archive of old artillery-related magazines the Army has put online for perusal. These include:

The Coast Artillery Journal, 1922-1948;

The Antiaircraft Journal, 1948-1954;

And a variety of Air Defense Artillery magazine, 1976-2006, as well as Air Defense ArtilleryYearbooks 1988-2004 and Air Defense Trends, 1969-1975.

They make for some interesting reading; if nothing else, you might discover that the Army, not the Navy, was once responsible for anti-satellite operations. Makes you wonder where that rogue satellite would have been intercepted were that still true today, doesn’t it?
