The Global Incident Map

Possible the coolest use of Google Earth I’ve seen yet (which is saying something), the Global Incident Map webpage is an automatically-updating visual representation of “terrorism and security incidents” worldwide. Not only is it a really slick application in it’s own right, it provides an excellent tool for (admittedly, limited-scope) pattern analysis. In some ways, it’s kind of an open-source intelligence analyst’s wet-dream. I’m highly impressed, as you can tell, and suspect you will be, as well. Bookmark this – heck, make it your browser’s home page; you know you want to.
