BUFF Urban Explorers
Word in this evening from Melody Gilbert is that her documentary Urban Explorers won the “Best of Fest Feature” award at the Boston Underground Film Festival this past weekend.
They still haven’t updated their website (what’s with film festivals being so slow to announce to the world who won what?), but we doubt Melody would lie to us. 
Besides, she claims that wierd bunny-shaped thingy in the picture to the right is her award, and who are we to argue? It may not be able to match the almighty and overwhelming phallus-ness of science-fiction’s Hugo award, but word is, the big black bunnies vibrate. 
There’s no word yet on the next plans for Into the Darkness, as director Gilbert remains tight-lipped about rumors of theatrical distribution, television syndication, and a DVD deal. However, you can now order t-shirts, though evidently not the tank-tops that were for sale outside recent screenings, nor the pins. Pity; we were hoping to see “snotsicles” come into wide(r)-spread usage.
