Proxy Servers

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a lightweight (rules out Squid, alas) proxy server that supported more than just HTTP requests (rules out CGIproxy and several others), supported user authentication (rules out Tinyproxy), worked reliably (rules out Antinat), and had some semblance of usable documentation (rules out Socks Server 5)?

Ah, what a beautiful dream. Alas, that’s all it is, a dream…
